Disasters Happen How would you provide! is a
comprehensive guide to storing, preserving and finding food and water anywhere
in the world. The concept behind the book begins with storing food and water in
the home as a buffer against unforeseen shortage, however caused, and coping
with food and water shortages as they get progressively more severe until the
point where it is necessary to 'live off the land.' In a worse-case scenario,
when it may be necessary to flee the home, it deals with making a Dash Pack
containing all the essential items necessary for surviving the first 72-hours of
a disaster situation. In a prolonged crisis scenario, the book covers all the
essential knowledge needed to hunt for food and find natural sources of water
and make water fit to drink.Disasters Happen - Military
Version How would you provide! is written primarily for the military,
rescue agencies and people with an interest in extreme sports which may take
them into difficult terrain anywhere in the world at anytime of year. So the
concept of this book starts with preparing for an extreme survival situation and
does not deal with storing food or preserving it as in a home environment, it
deals with finding food (and preserving it in extreme conditions) and locating
water and making it drinkable in difficult environments. The Dash Pack
concept is covered as this may still be relevant, but the survival equipment
focus is on making a survival pack that can support a person indefinitely when
used in conjunction with the knowledge contained in this version of the book.
Because there are overlapping areas in these two versions of
Disaster Happens it is not necessary to buy both of them. If you are
interested in dealing with short, medium or long term shortages of food and
water in a home (community) environment then it is best to buy Disasters
Happen How would you provide! If you are interested in finding food
and water in an extreme crisis situation (not in a home or community
environment) then Disaster Happen - Military Version How would you provide!
is the book for you.
