Courses

Thank you for visiting my site!

James Mandeville has limited availability for paid private lectures and survival instruction to business, NGO's, rescue organisations, groups mounting an expedition, clubs and societies. Please contact James using the contact form outlining your requirements.

Below are some recommended survival and bush craft courses. If you have a bona fide survival training business I would be happy to advertise it on this website, free of charge. A link back, would, of course be appreciated.

Woodsmoke

Woodsmoke's courses are predominately skills-based with a large emphasis on the student gaining first-hand experience. Expert instructors guide participants carefully through each new subject, introducing new skills in the form of talks, explanation and demonstration, leaving time for them to practice, hone and employ the skills for themselves.

All courses are conducted from an expedition style base-camp, the duration of which is spent entirely out-of-doors.

Woodsmoke's maximum class size for any course is 14 students, with a student-instructor ratio of no less than 4:1, ensuring plenty of time for personal instruction.

Woodsmoke is located in a private estate situated between Lake Windermere and Esthwaite Water, in the very heart of the Lake District National Park .
